The Snakes & Arrows leather jacket is the crown jewel of the 2007-2008 Rush product line. This custom jacket is the highest quality leather, made by Roots Canada. The front left chest of the jacket features a stitched-on, leather crowned "R", and the right chest is embroidered with the RUSH logo.
The most impressive part of the jacket is the back. The embroidery on the back of the jacket contains 50,000 stitches depicting two twisting snakes around a winged arrow, and the RUSH logo embedded in the middle. The text below spells out "two thousand eight Tkaronto Kanata", which is the Huron-Iroquois translation for Toronto Canada. The word "Kanata" means "settlement" or "village". The word "Tkaronto" translated means "a place where trees stand in the water". Bet you never had that on a jacket before!
When we custom make a leather jacket for Rush, only the highest quality is acceptable. Geddy saw this jacket backstage in Ft. Lauderdale just before stepping onstage after the intermission. His reaction was something like, whooaaaaa, heyyyyyyyy, cooooooool!!
